A surprising pen, sturdy and carefully designed in all details.

This is only a first impression since I just inked the pen for the first time a few minutes ago. This is a nice design with clean and simple lines, a beautiful black well polished ebonite body ,and this round ink windows that remind us of portholes on a ship and evoke the Nautilus submarine. There is a touch of "steampunk" style, but not overdone. The pen is rather large. Cap does not post, but the pen is confortable unposted. The finish seems quite good. The propietary steel nib is rather on the stiff side but writes smoothly. It might skip from time to time - but I just wrote about a page. Let's see if it improves with use or I fix the (minor) issue. The piston works smoothly. A nice addition to my collection.
