Bortoletti glass Oblique set - Fenice

The Bortoletti Fenice Oblique Pen Holder is an ideal tool for the calligrapher who wants to take it to the next level. Using an oblique pen is much more comfortable than using a straight pen. The Bortoletti Oblique pen was designed and tested with the help of the calligraphers working with the Bortoletti Foundry and is completely handmade by Bortoletti artisans.

 

The lateral screw helps adjust the nib to align laterally with the center of the pen. It is tilted up slightly to help open the tines/teeth; increasing the pressure widens the space between the tines, leaving more ink behind and widening your line. In addition, the tip glides smoothly over the paper and both teeth come into contact with the paper.

 

The care taken with each pen is truly unique: bronze and wood worked in the exquisite style of Venetian craftsmanship. The glass bottle of Hamburg Calligraphy Ink has a screw cap with an excellent seal. The opening of the bottle is wide and allows dipping the angled pen without it getting dirty. Hamburg inks are high quality calligraphy inks; the color remains very intense even when the ink has dried. The ink colors are assorted, so your pen comes with a surprise color (blue, black or brown)
